Problem 1:
Define area in your own words.
 area in the space in side the shape squared

Problem 2:

1.     What is the area of this irregular figure? (Assume each square is 1 cm x 1 cm) 25cm squared
Don’t forget the label.
2.     List your thought processes. (This should include 3-5 sentences.)
     the process of my thought was short. i looked at the shape and saw squares. so i counted them one by one.
     Problem 3:

What is the area of the figure? the area is 9  squared
What label do you think you’d use if this is a small pond?yards A small lake? miles

Task 4:
Explain why it would be important to know how to find the area of a figure (regular or irregular). This should be 3-5 sentences knowing the area of a pond is good. if you are shopping for fish you need to know how to much area the need. then you can give them the right room.
